“ Nice little sandwich shop close to On Nut BTS station. If you live in the area it’s a great option when you want a break from Thai food. I ordered the Traditional sandwich and I thought it was delicious but it didn’t taste like I was in Vietnam. Regardless of authenticity I will go back to this place again because it is delicious. The menu is limited to 6-8 sandwiches but that is fine for me. I’ll try something different next time and report back here. ”
“ In A Nutshell: -Bun Me is tucked away in On Nut off of Soi 56. -I found out about this place watching YouTube (@Eager Expat). -The location is co-located w/ a basketball court. -The small shop is inside where you see a pro shop. -The Lemongrass Chicken Banh Mi was outstanding. -The bread came out hot & crispy. Overall, this is a legit banh mi shop in BKK! ”

Price are ok at the shop in onnut, need to walk a bit though to reach there. See you again next time I come bkk. ”
“ Having lived in Saigon, I am always on the lookout for a good banh mi. It’s not perfect, but definitely tasty with really good bread (flaky on the outside, moist and fluffy on the inside). Flavors were great, but it could be improved with ratio of meat to pickled veggies. Also - need to add a banh mi op la (fried egg) option to the menu, not just an option to add an egg - to make this more authentic :) ”

“ Finally an authentic Banh Mi place in Bangkok!! Unassuming and easily missable location. Don’t expect much from the decor… however the Banh Mi are delicious! Generous servings of meats (we got the BBQ pork and Pork Belly), well pickled veggies, fresh garnishes and tasty pate. Bread roll was crispy but a little dry. Fries were made to order so came out crispy and piping hot. Would definitely come back again or order via Grab Food! ”

I ordered the grilled beef Banh Mi, which came in a big portion with lots of beef and a nice creamy pâté. Honestly, I think the filling tastes even better than in Vietnam, but the bread isn’t quite good enough—it’s a bit hard, and even after I tried to soften it before eating, it still hurt my palate. The place is located inside a basketball academy, so it’s pretty loud. I’d recommend getting takeaway or visiting during off-peak hours. ”
